Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is an accepted and agreed method to Qualify as a Plumber. The minimum required number of years is set at eight. One would use the formal curricula and tick off the competency claimed against what is required. Any missing segments would then represent the training program required, if any, which thereafter would lead to the Trade Test. Once completed you are then a Qualified Plumber in terms of our rules and regulations.

The cost implication is around R 8, 000.00 depending on time spent with the compilation of the evidence - this is a rough guideline and does not constitute a formal Quotation.

Attached is the curricula document for your info.
